Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. is organising the 'GDA ALUMINIUM PROFIL AWARD' for the first time at ALUMINIUM 2020. This award is intended to recognise the innovative strength of developers, designers and companies in the aluminium industry.

About the competition

Sheet metal, profiles and cast parts are as much the preferred products in the automotive and commercial vehicle sectors as they are in aerospace, rail vehicles, mechanical engineering, the construction industry, packaging, power engineering and many other industrial applications. There is increasing demand from the various markets for the use of high-quality, innovative aluminium profiles, especially those produced by extrusion. The extrusion companies have responded to the more stringent requirements and have increased their competitiveness considerably in recent years by modernising and R&D investments.

The award-winning profiles will be exhibited on the GDA stand in Hall 13, Stand D49 at ALUMINIUM 2021.The trade fair will be held in Düsseldorf from 18 to 20 May 2021.
